Financially supporting the local community

This year, Iririki is budgeting to contribute around AUD600,000 to support the local Ifiran tribe’s people with healthcare, schooling and pensions. 

Team Iririki

Iririki is currently supporting around 200 families through the employment of around 200 wonderful team members. We take pride in our team support programs which include:

Team lunches – The resort supplies a free meal to every team member every day.

Pastoral support – Iririki is the first and only resort in Vanuatu to employ its own Pastor to support team members spiritually, emotionally and mentally.

Training and trainees – Along with ongoing training programs, keep your eyes out for our enthusiastic trainees around the resort who we are working with the government with to develop in their chosen career paths.

Free transport – Iririki provides free transport to & from work for staff working after hours or who live at a far distance from Iririki.

Where Good Meets

Iririki conference facilities are provided for the community to develop and share ideas on developing the people of Vanuatu. The good that comes out of these meetings will be what forwards Vanuatu into a positive future.

Iririki Island solar and battery power

Vanuatu’s largest solar system and battery farm at the southern end of the island provides carbon free and stable electricity to the island.

Water saving

We have initiated many water saving initiatives including a reduction in guest turnover water waste.

Sustainable produce

Our market garden at the top of the island along with a huge number of fruit trees planted all over the island provide organic and delicious food that you may enjoy while dining in the restaurants here. On top of this we support a huge community of local farmers, fisherman and local businesses who supply Iririki’s guests with all they need every day.
